Former England striker and Golden Ball winner Michael Owen shared his impressions of the first game of the Champions League semi—final between Real Madrid and Manchester City (1-1).
City are delighted with this result. They dominated the first half and conceded, and Madrid was better in the second half, and then the "citizens" scored. It was a funny game," the UEFA press service quotes Owen.
Michael spent one year in the cream camp. This happened in the 2004/2005 season, where the Englishman played in 45 matches in all tournaments and scored 16 goals and four assists. Due to the strong competition in the striker position at the Madrid club, Owen returned to England, moving to Newcastle United in the summer of 2005.
