Company description
We mainly provide care for older persons or adults, but with the specialist training that is available, we can also provide care for families with children, service users with a learning difficulty, and children.
Assured Care supports service users by providing help with the personal, domestic and social/emotional tasks associated with ordinary living that an individual might usually perform for him/herself.
Care workers will encourage and help maintain independence wherever possible, and only assist, prompt and support service users, to an appropriate level, when necessary. Examples of tasks that older or disabled people might require include:
PERSONAL CARE
Personal assistance with daily living activities including:
Getting up, going to bed
Dressing and undressing
Washing, bathing, grooming (personal hygiene)
Eating and drinking
Using the toilet, maintaining continence, managing incontinence
Mouth and denture care
Checking spectacles and hearing aids
Help during the night ( night awake)
Foot care and exercises
Health-related tasks that users would normally take responsibility
for, e.g. observing medicines being taken by the service user.
SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
Social and emotional support includes:
Mobility and transport
Escort service e.g. hospital visits
Socialising, visits
Company, conversation, listening
Encouragement, motivation, confidence-building
Reading, letter-writing, phone calls
Leisure, recreation
Religious and cultural activities
Community links, neighbourhood activities
Help at work, educational facilities
DOMESTIC SERVICE
Domestic help with household tasks includes:
House cleaning and washing up
Laundry and ironing
Preparing meals (nutritional advice, special diets)
Shopping and errands
Collecting pensions, benefits, prescriptions
