BBJ Construction has been established for seven years and during that time has built up a long standing relationship with and worked on many projects with sub contracted works for main contractors primarily in the retail and private sectors. Within the last four years BBJ has progressed and built an impressive reputation with main contractors such as Wates Smart Space, ISG Retail, Simons Construction, FHM, McLaren Construction, McLaughlin & Harvey, Henry Boot Construction and the National Heath Service (NHS).
Although still a relatively new company by today’s standards it is founded from a wealth of experience within the construction and commerce industries. It is because of these attributes that BBJ Construction continues to grow each year and our performance levels on site result in excellent referrals and many recommendations for future projects.
We are well known in the construction market as an established shop-fitting and bespoke joinery company specialising in Marks and Spencer refurbishments but within the last three years, we have been able to diversify due to investing in our own manufacturing facility which has enabled us to provide joinery works to the health, education and hotel sectors. This in turn has increased our client base which includes premier and highly respected household names.
BBJ Construction has successfully completed projects for clients such as Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, John Lewis Partnership, The NHS, HSBC and The Royal Mail – most recently we have been contracted to work on a program of Co-operative Fire Improvement works. Two of our projects involve works on the largest Marks & Spencer and John Lewis Partnership stores which have been built in the UK to date. Working with Wates Smart Space we have worked on projects for The Royal Mail, Marks & Spencer, HSBC, Co-Op and The Ministry of Defence (MOD). Just recently, working with Henry Boot Construction we have completed work with the “Better Barnsley” project which included fit outs for the new market and the library.
As well as providing services in the joinery sector, we supply a multi-trade option such as plastering, decoration, partitions and ceilings. We also specialise in bespoke timber doors manufactured with db ratings up to 46db and Fire Certifications to 30,60 and 120 minutes. We are now also certified under the BMTRADA Fire Door installers scheme, FSC® certified for timber movement and CHAS certified with Constructionline.
We supply and install fitted screens, metal frames, metal doors, steel insert security doors and protection works including wall protection such as checker plate. We also supply and fit post formed Acrovyn and AltroWhiteRock. Further investment has recently been made to enable our workshop to produce bespoke IPS and cubicle systems to customer’s designs.
