How often have you experienced that when you send a friend request to some person whom you wish to connect on twitter and that person does not need to follow you back due to some reason or the other so automatically start following that persons. That purely means that whatever the person posts publicly will be visible to you on your home page as well but whatever is shared amongst his friends will not be visible until he follows and you are added in their friend list.
Where can you find whether you are following the person or not?
Go to the other person’s profile
And beside there name, you will find an option to Follow.
So you are allowed to see all the public posts of the person.
You can also tweet back and re-tweet.
As soon as someone you follow, that person will be notified that someone sent him a follow request and will receive a notification saying that someone has just followed them. So as soon as they accept your follow request you are not just following them but are their friend as well so now you will not appear in that person’s follow list.
