Caltours of Birmingham Ltd. was formed in 2003 by David Calver who remains its owner and direc-tor. We operated our first day excursion in May 2004 with a trip to Tissington Well Dressing in Der-byshire. In the first couple of years the company operated a number of day excursions aimed at the individual traveler and quickly started to gain a loyal clientele. As time has gone by the company has stayed faithful to the day excursion program but has also expanded into running short break holidays for individuals and groups. The first holiday took place in June 2006 and was based at the Petworth Hotel, formerly the officers mess of the Dam Buster Squadron. The theme of the holiday was "The Dam Busters". The following year saw holidays to the Lake District and Gardens of the New Forest and in 2008 we had a visit to the Isle of Wight, a themed TV destinations tour in Yorkshire and a pre-Christmas visit to the Eden Project. Progressively over the years the number of holidays has been increasing and in 2018 there willbe a total of 5 (including individual and group offerings) ranging from 3 to 8 days Find out more about our short breaks for individuals. In addition to providing services for the individual traveler Caltours of Birmingham Ltd also provide a range of options for groups who wish to travel together. They range from simply arranging the travel element through to carrying out to full organization. For smaller groups we have schemes which allow them to travel as a group and share the coach with others in order to keep the cost down. Find out more about group travel. Our clients include church groups, WI groups, social clubs and special interest groups. Caltours of Birmingham Ltd is a coach tour operator not a coach hire company. The coaches used are provided by companies who are established and respected within the Birmingham area and who meet the exacting Coach Marque quality requirements. Coaches All our coaches are air conditioned and have onboard toilet facilities. At the time of booking you will be able to choose your seat from those still available; which means there are no mad scrambles at the pick-up points to get the best seats; it doesn't matter whether you get on at the first or last pick-up point, your seat will be there. Every coach, unless otherwise stated, will have a courier as well as a driver and on longer motorway journeys hot drinks will be served to your seat providing it is safe to do so.
