Originally based in Birmingham, the Cameo brand has been a leader in the equestrian sector since the 1920s, with its first mention in Graces Guide as early as 1914. The company was acquired by the current director's great-grandfather in the 1920s and moved to its current site in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, in the 1950s. At its peak, the factory produced over 1,000 Cameo Rugs per week and was the largest employer in the town. Today, Cameo has evolved into a leading equestrian and equine wear brand, bringing years of expertise into the 21st century. We remain committed to our heritage while embracing modernity, still manufacturing many of our products in-house and sourcing UK-made materials whenever possible.
