Set in the most peaceful environment of the Crondon Park Estate, our main course is referred by many as one of the county’s most formidable golf courses.
Crondon has everything you could ask of from a championship golf course, measuring over 6800 yards from the back tees, it can play a real test for any golfer of any ability.
With 5 par 3’s, 5 par 5’s and 8 par 4’s there is a score to be made but only if you are brave enough to take on all the tests.
With water in play on 9 of the 18 holes accuracy is at a premium to be able to manage your way round.
If the course wasn’t challenging enough with its length, The Greens are USGA constructed to the highest degree, receptive on approach but quick small and undulating, getting the wrong side of any pin could prove costly.
Our 18th hole is the longest closing golf hole in the World, measuring 860 yards and played as an unofficial par 6. From the members tee, over 600yds, it still packs a punch, with the green surrounded by water, it still plays tricky enough to keep even the best of us worried until the final putt.
The inclusion of over 20,000 trees planted over twenty years ago, means most of the time you can only see the hole you are playing, giving it a real traditional parkland feel. it is a course that has matured beyond its years and certainly a must visit for any golfer in the area.
