Whether it be an inability to face the day ahead, a relationship that's breaking down, the loss of a loved one, personal illness or one of the many other struggles that seem inseparable from the experience of being human; I believe that a safe space to talk about your life with an attentive, non-judgemental professional can be a crucial help in difficult times.
For the last five years I have been working for a community focussed therapy service and I work primarily in North West London; I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy. I am accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and am bound by their code of ethics.
Existential Psychotherapy is a style of therapy guided by Existential Philosophy rather than the more medical, illness vs. health, model of Psychology and other more prevalent therapies.
In essence my method of practice is one that seeks to open you up to your own world through conversation. To put you in touch with what you're experiencing moment to moment and to seek insight into why you see the world the way that you do. To reacquaint you with the choices that you might deny are open. This is a difficult process which is why I believe it must take place within the context of a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship.
