Hey there! I’m James and I’m a Wedding Photographer based in Kent. As you can see, i’m more at ease behind the camera than in front of it! I’d consider my style to be a wee bit alternative, and definitely not the traditional “Look at the birdie” style. Although i’m based in Kent I travel all over shooting weddings, so if you’re getting married in London, Scotland or even having a destination wedding i’m your man. Weddings are dynamic events, and as such I tend to go with the flow of the day. I don’t stage manage, I don’t interfere or get diva’ish. I photograph real people, real emotions and capture real moments.
I’m not the kind of photographer to hide in the shadows using a long lens to photograph people, for me I need to be in the action. Think of me as an extra guest on your day, as I find that getting involved in the day helps people relax more and allows me to capture your guests having fun. Whilst for the majority of the day I’m very much shooting documentary style, when it comes to the portrait side of things I like to get really creative. Every wedding I’ve done the couple have always said “Oh we hate having our photo taken” and I get that, I really do. I like to keep it fun and laughter filled, I’ll make an ass of myself, tell rubbish jokes or even throw some shapes on the dance floor.
