About John James
John James Clearance is run by us, Cliff (John) Owen and Chris (James) Watts, who have been providing residential and commercial clearance services for over 12 years in our local area.
Before John James Clearance, we both had our own small clearance businesses before we joined forces.
This joint business alliance came about with both of us having lost our own parents at an early age. The whole experience of having to empty their homes of all their belongings we found incredibly stressful and upsetting, and as such felt that there was a need for a more sensitively structured service to assist families in bereavement. Having been through it ourselves, we really do understand our customers’ needs.
We pride ourselves on our reputation for excellent customer service; we are always polite, supportive and work efficiently with families and family friends considering all their needs during such sad times.
With more and more people having their own businesses, it has been a natural progression for us to also move into commercial clearance for family businesses. This includes taking care of office premises, industrial units, home offices and outbuildings too.

Their mother had lived in the house for over fifty years and whilst the family had told us they had checked the loft and it was all rubbish, we nonetheless carefully worked our way through decades of old carpet and junk. We came across an old and heavy suitcase, which was full of silver! The family thought that this had been sold years ago and were naturally very surprised.
As part of our additional service offering, we suggested that we would contact Sworders Auction House and deliver the silver to them for valuation. The family were grateful for our expert advice and assistance; the silver was valued and sold at auction shortly after fetching over £2,000.
