A WORD OF WARNING TO ALL CUSTOMERS
Unbelievable. I bought a lovely Paul Smith Suit and a nice tie from the Windsor branch on Saturday. My wife went today to pick up the suit and she was in for a big surprise! My wife had also bought me tie meaning i didn't need the tie i bought, so she asked the "gentleman" if we could have a refund. He told her no, Michael Chell do not do refunds. Surprised, she called me to tell me. I asked to speak to the shop assistant to which i heard him in the back ground say "i won't speak on your phone". He did however call me from his phone so as not to (as he described it) look unprofessional. I spoke to him and told him i was confused that he wouldn't give my wife the refund and that i thought it was my legal right. He very abruptly told me I was wrong and that it had to be unfit for purpose and that he would not give a refund. I asked to speak to the manager as he was speaking to me very badly. He informed me he was the manager, in fact, he was a "director!"
I was quite taken back with the way he was talking to me, surely I was a good customer having just spent in excess of £600. I then told him i wanted a refund, and if he did not give me one, then he would be losing a customer. He told me it was up to me, and that he would not give me a refund. I told him I would not shop in his shop ever again, to which he replied, I would have to if i took the credit note!! (What a cheeky ****, i thought). So i told him i would give it away as I would never shop in his store ever again.
I cannot believe how this person, who says he is a director treats his customers. My wife told me she gets better customer service in Aldi! (No offense to anyone who works in Aldi)
Such a shame as I used to love shopping here. Never again, and I shall make sure everyone I know hears this story.
Disappointing.
