Hi, my name is Ray. I have been working as a UK tour guide for the past twenty years, taking groups large and small on tours up and down the country. Born in London, I grew up like most Londoners, unaware of the layers of history embedded in the structure of this great city.
On our tour, I would love to share some of the insight and knowledge I have acquired over the years and introduce you to some characters and events that have helped shape today’s London.
The tours available are external only and include a full-day or half-day walking tour of central London. On the half-day walking tour, we will see Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament, The London Eye, Horse Guards, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus.
The full-day tour will include the above (except Piccadilly) plus a relaxed walk along the river Thames, where many of London’s most important historical sites are to be found, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, London Bridge, Tower Bridge and The Tower of London and much more.
If a market day is selected (Tuesday to Sunday), some time can be spent for a lunch stop in the historic Borough Market, one of the highest-regarded food markets in London. Refreshment breaks will be available on both walks; on the full-day tour, there is an hour or so for a lunch stop.
full and half-day tours involve plenty of walking, so pack comfortable footwear.
