Rob's Landscapes

Can't understand the other two bad reviews, must have been written by competitors as Rob and his team have just finished a fantastic job for me turning my back garden into an area which is really lovely. Rob is a skilled landscaper and clever at his job and made me another two patios and an artificial grass area which all look good. He has turned my front garden into a wonderful area that really looks great and is now the best in the road. The team worked really hard and non stop and left all areas clean and tidy every night, I would have them back for any future work and would recommend Rob's landscapes to anyone that wants a professional job done. Thank you Rob, Alice, Barry and Dean for a wonderful job and for working so hard and being so happy and friendly. I would recommend Rob's Landscapes to anyone looking to have their garden turned into something special.

A similar thing happened to us just recently regarding our driveway fencing. We paid him money for all the materials and the job itself and we are now having it all re-done by another builder which is costing us further expense. The fencing was all different heights, and we have now just found out that he bought the wrong size panels for the concrete posts! We trusted him to the job which he clearly did not do right! After having done a bit of research, I am seeing that there have been many other people, like myself who have been through the same experience. We were willing to pay for the job to be done correctly, and once he claimed he had finished the job, we contacted him again to ask for him to come back as I wasn't happy with what he had done. He said he was going to come back, however never did. I have definitely learnt from this experience; research someone before asking them to do work for you. I write this review in hope that there is no-one else out there who goes through the same thing. Unfortunately, there are people out there who are simply out to rip you off!

We receive a quote from the above builder re a brick wall we wanted building. After we accepted the quote a date was giving to us when he would start work. He insisted we pay cash no cheques and also a deposit of £500 . He came dug the foundation preparing for the wall. He took deposit money and said he would be back after weekend to finish work. Well the weather changed and we had constant rain for a while so we accepted the fact we would have to wait. The weeks went by we still didnt hear anything. we constantly phoned him sometimes he would ignore the call if he knew it was our number. When we did mange to speak to him he said he was behind with his work due to weather conditions which we accepted, we had a long dry spell still no work was being done. He was ignoring our calls. We managed to get hold of him via a mobile number he said he was having problems with the supplier of bricks and would be in touch, weeks went by again he ignored our calls. We received a text saying he had managed to get bricks but was going on holiday and gave us a definite date to start. The date arrived no one turned up all communication at this stage was done by text he was ignoring all our calls. When we text him asking where he was he text back wondering was we was on about! 17.00 hours that day we received a text saying he wasn't doing the work telling us to get someone else he hasn't got time to build the wall. When i asked him about our deposit he said he would give us back some of it not all. Which we thought was fair considering he had actually done some work. We never received any money back he said he posted it which i thought was a strange thing to do as he was actually working on our estate and he had to drive past my road to get to his next job! We have had three different builders out to try and get a wall and they have all said the same thing the work that was done is not adequate and is going to cost us more to put the work right. we don't normally write reviews on line but feel we needed to to stop this happening to anyone else. We personally think he under priced the job and realized he would not make any money on the job. But hey we are reasonable people and if he had just come and told us we would have paid the extra.
