We have developed into a small dynamic, company providing huge stocks of tanks, drums and fittings throughout the UK and parts of Europe. Combined with the expertise and knowledge to go with them. We have been at the forefront of environmental issues having been responsibly sourcing and recycling tanks and drums for decades. Smiths of the Forest of Dean Ltd hold a Waste Carriers Licence and an Environmental Permit Exemption which is registered with the Environment Agency. We hold a recycling licence as a metal merchant too.
A professional business for industrial, agricultural & domestic customers
Our customer base has increased year-on-year and includes county councils, country estates, builders, cider makers, brewers, farmers, plumbers, heating engineers, film units, exhibition centres environmental and waste disposal companies etc as well as individual home owners and domestic users. We are proud of what we have achieved as a company especially in our longstanding ongoing commitment to recycling surplus (food-based) tanks and steel drums from companies and corporations. We have built up a lot of trust in our industry and became members of the FSB in 2009. In 2017 we joined SEDEX, an organisation promoting ethical supply chains, responsible sourcing and sustainable business practices.
