Company description
We are a small microbrewery - set up towards the end of 2011 - with a two-and-a-half barrel plant.
This means that we produce about 8 casks each holding about 70 pints per brew.
The profile of real ales we intend to produce will range from light amber ales through our staple 3.9abv session bitter (called Slipper after a local sailing club & millpond!) to the deeper and darker winterbrew, festival bitters and beyond.
We are delighted to have revived the historic tradition of beer production in the village - unbroken, as far as we're aware - until about 25 years ago. It's a small step for brewing-kind, but we hope that it will prove a successful one.
At the moment, we are supplying our beers through pubs and clubs, but we are intending to set up a small bottling plant by the end of the summer with some off-licence contacts in mind, and will eventually apply for an off-licence for our own premises.
We also hope that our ales will continue to appear at various Beer Festivals around the country.
The business has been set up by wife-and-husband team Hilary and Michael Bolt, with grandson Sam responsible for much of the day-to-day production activity.
