My wife and I found Look Back and Remember using Google and paid a £100 deposit for them to video our wedding in September 2010. Our wedding insurance policy stated that we required receipts to cover the wedding should something go wrong, so we emailed Luke from Look Back and Remember and requested one.
He said he would send us one and that it had been posted. After a week we emailed him and said we had not received it, and he agreed to send another. Again nothing, so we asked for an email receipt, which he said he would email. Still nothing. Then, after asking again, we received a blank email. After all of this my wife decided she wasn't going to trust him to turn up at our wedding, if indeed he was even a real company, so we found another videographer.
I phoned Luke, explained the situation and requested a refund of the deposit. After I explained that it was unreasonable for him to expect my wife to be calm about the situation and assume he was going to turn up, he agreed to refund the deposit. After a few weeks and a couple of emails we still received nothing and gave up.
