We hired a lorry from activate to move house, two weeks later £2,000 had been taken from our bank card, they claimed it was for unpaid penalties for the low emission zone in London (£1,000) and damage to the vehicle (£1,000) - we had not damaged the vehicle at all and having checked with Transport for London there have not been any low emission zone charges against the vehicle. They created a false invoice and statement that they sent to the bank to justify their claim. Despite asking them for documentation proving either of the claims for over three months they have been unable to supply anything. We have since reported the matter to the police and trading standards to investigate Active8 for fraud. I would not advise anyone to use this company.
