I went to Mylers today so I could pick up some supplies I needed for a project. I went in and was stopped by a guy wo was very polite and asked me to put my bag in a locker (very sensible idea) he let me in and I was surprised at how big the place was, ever wall covered in just abut every bead, finding and jewellery making tool imaginable :) I was looking for some chain and wasn't really sure what type i needed so I asked an assistant for help, she spoke to me for abut 30 seconds, not giving me any of the info I asked for before rushing off, I decided to take a look round the shop and pick up some head pins and extra findings, I was looking for wire and jump rings so I asked another member of staff, she said she was busy and would be back (25 minute wait) no staff member, so I went looking and found her, I asked her advice on size of jump ring and she told me to take the packet that was in my hand, she seemed quite fed up at my asking for assistance, so I just put my head down and continued to shop and paid for my items. Got home, jump rings are way too big and the chain is not the type I need, even though the first assistant said it was the best kind of chain for my project:( + Loads of beads and cheaper than other Glasgow based bead shops - If you're going make sure you know what you are looking for as the staff can't be bothered to help you and obviously have no clue about what they are selling. I won't be going back. Far better customer care at The Art Store and the staff are friendly and know what they are talking about.. Disappointed at the poor customer service, Mylers!
