I had one instructor in Hebden Bridge for a while before switching to Tony, and just wish I'd started with him in the first place.
He's stupendously calm and unflappable. His lessons are structured and well-planned out - he'll take you point-by-point through what you've achieved, what you need to improve and what the next steps are. He'll also dish out praise when you need it too.
Can't recommend him enough. I always looked forward to my lessons and actually learnt to enjoy driving.
