I had an initial consultation with Mr Staiano regarding mole removal surgery. At the consultation I specifically asked him whether surgical excision was the only method or whether there were other techniques available such as lasers. He categorically stated that surgical excision was the ONLY method and there were no lasers or other techniques to remove moles. I went ahead with the surgery and have been left with scars more severe looking than the moles. I can post photos if required. I have subsequently learnt that surgical excision was NOT the only method and that Mr Staiano LIED to me for his own financial gain. I have put in a formal complaint to him regarding this and he has subsequently stated that there are lasers that can remove moles but that he does not recommend this technique, primarily one can assume because he has no access to such equipment. What he or any credible surgeon should have said when I asked about other methods, is that yes there are lasers but he would not recommend these based on all the reasons he gave after my complaint, thus allowing the patient to make a more informed decision on how to progress I have since spent thousands of pounds trying to correct the unnecessary butchery he has done to my back. I have also had more moles removed with no scarring whatsoever. My advice, do NOT have mole removal surgery with this man! Surgical excision is the only method he uses and it is the worst method of mole removal for scarring and should only be used on suspicious looking moles. There are other techniques that leave no scarring but he will not advise you of this so he can make money! Be Careful!
