Complete cowboys.
Oil fired boiler wasn't working.
No oil pressure. They replaced the oil pump claiming it was a bit stiff!
Still no oil pressure.
Claimed we need to have the oil pipes cleaned.
Then he realised it was the fires safety valve which had tripped.
As soon as the safety valve was reset everything worked.
The fire safety valve was clearly the problem all along although they tried to claim it was also the pump!
It is not likely that both the fire safety valve tripped and the pump failed at the same time.
It was clearly the former.
Laughable he tried to demonstrate the pump being stiff which it clearly wasn't pointing to a small bit of carbon.
Instead of just a call out fee for resetting the safety valve I was charged for a new pump at £450.
In shock I paid.
My wife in error (i wouldn't have used them again) called him back 6 months later for another fault.
i confronted him about the previous bill and he walked off the job leaving a stripped down boiler.
Dreadful
