My carpets are continually getting things spilled on them, like red wine, marmite, even blood! My kids are pretty crazy, and I tend to have aft we friends over every weekend, so it is not exactly rare that I will be ringing up Harringay Cleaners on a Monday morning to get the carpets cleaned professionally! You will hopefully find that they can do the same for you, and for a decent price as well, which certainly sweetens the deal!
