I am writing this review as follow-on to my previous review and a response to Alan’s comment. I order 2.5 cubic metres of wood and I returned 2 which is why the refund I have been pursuing is £100 not £140. I informed Natalie of this and I offered to let Al’s Tree Surgery keep the £40, which was worth well more than the % of wood I used, and I asked for a refund of £100. After I posted my first review, I made one last attempt to call Al’s Tree Service, speak to Natalie and see about my refund. I did speak with her and on Monday 8 April, she told me she sent a wire transfer to my account for the £100 “around 4:30pm”. I checked the bank at the end of the day on Tuesday 9 April and there were no funds received. On Wednesday 10 April, still no funds so I called again and spoke with a man who said he was “right next to Natalie when she did the transfer, just give it a few days”. I assume that he is the business owner, Alan Morris. I checked my account this morning (Friday 12 April), still no funds so I called and had an unpleasant conversation with the Alan who now tells me they cancelled the wire transfer when they saw my first review. So, the response he has left is an outright lie! I checked with my bank and they told me that domestic wire transfers occur within the same day so I contend that it was never sent in the first place and I stand by the honesty and accuracy of my reviews and by my first assessment. This is a dishonest company, who have lied to me for months about refunding my money when they had no intention of doing so, and they picked up their product. So now I have no wood and no refund. I am very happy to have a public forum and I will gladly update this site if I ever get my refund, but their actions to date illustrate that it will never happen. Stay away from them.
