We took our lovely little cat to this vet, to get her teeth cleaned as advised by the vet there, because she had a small bleed on her gum. She had to have an anaesthetichilst (which she had had before) and was in the vets for the day. I had a call at around 2pm to say that there had been a "complication" , she had stopped breathing during the operation, and, presumably no one had noticed! and that she had not properly woken up yet. I asked if I could come to see her and was shocked to find that she had had a stroke during the op and there was not much hope that she would pull through! The next day she was a little better and they asked us to collect her and treat her at home as it was going to cost us a lot to keep her in. The bodged operation had already cost me £350 and because I didn't want to pay anymore I agreed. The poor little thing could not walk and she was blind and when we got her home we were really upset and it became obvious that we would have to nurse her for quite a while if she was going to get better, she slightly improved over the next day but on the Sunday she collapsed and started to wail with every breath! It was so upsetting that we had to take her to get her put to sleep. The girl at the Vets said that if she were to decide she would not charge us, but unfortunately we would probably get a bill!! for something which was their fault. I have now got another bill for £130 which I am very upset about I should have just ignored the advice to get her teeth cleaned and put the money in the toilet! These people are absolut leeches and rip off merchants!
